De Pijp is dense but flat, and most of it is a fifteen-minute stroll from Sarphatipark. Museumplein and Vondelpark sit just to the west.
The Albert Cuyp market is busy — go before 11:00 with a stroller, or take the parallel streets and dip in.
Collecting and returning
Handover is at Amsterdam Central Station or Schiphol Airport, inside a one-hour window between 09:00 and 20:00. From Centraal, tram 24 runs straight into De Pijp.
You can collect at Schiphol on arrival and hand back at Amsterdam Central on departure, or the other way round.
What to add
A rain cover for €3 a day is the sensible default. From October to April, a footmuff at €4 a day keeps a napping toddler warm on terraces.
Eating out with a stroller
De Pijp restaurants are used to families, especially at lunch. Early evening is easier than 20:00 if you want space beside the table.
